Evanston : Wyoming

Evanston is a city in Uinta County and the county seat as well. The community was named after surveyor and civil engineer, James Evans.

Evanston is nestled in the Bear River Valley near the Wasatch Front. The Bear River meanders through the community, passing through Bear River State Park.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 26.7 km²(10.3 mi²). 26.5 km² (10.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.39%) is water.

Evanston has an ideal climate just right for outdoor activities with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year.
